Anatomica US Army 1940 Jacket Dungaree NaturalAnatomica
Redefining classic Americana style through both their European and Japanese lenses, Anatomica meticulously adapt styles, production & function to create clothing designed for regular wear with optimised fit.
Here we have the US Army 1940 Jacket, a reproduction of those issued to the US Army. Blue denim was issued to the US Army from 1909 as the work uniform which was set as standard material for work clothing at the time. This Denim Jacket was first introduced in 1940 by the US Army to replace the M1937 pullover denim shirt, due to the impractical nature of a pullover in the field.
Cut from a lightweight, unbleached cotton in Japan, the US Army Denim Jacket features a button front using original US Army metal buttons and two large flap pockets. Tonal stitching is used throughout while the stitching is slightly irregular to express wartime manufacturing detailing.

*After the UK’s recent departure from the European Union, there has been an unavoidable upheaval in all trade.
To help ease the confusion, we use a shipping partner to assist us with all international shipments, which allows us to show you, upfront, all costs before delivery including duties and customs know as DDP (Delivery Duty Paid).
All prices are inclusive of processing and delivery fees (excluding courier fees where applicable) meaning the price shown is the price you will pay delivered to you, with no hidden customs or clearance fees!
All orders placed from within the EU have the local rate of VAT added and paid within destination country; so no excess VAT will be charged upon arrival and we do not collect UK VAT. This also means that you are able to pay in local currency (or the currency of your choice) to a local bank account, as well as offering payment plans wherever applicable.
