Burgus Plus BP18501 Pop-Over Check ShirtClutch Cafe
A great fitting pop over shirt from Burgus Plus for this AW. Constructed from a mid-weight cotton twill in the classic logger check, the piece is heavily inspired by 1920's & 1930's shirting.
A definitive design of the period, the pop over shirt has become synonymous with effortless style. Once a standard workwear piece, the popover found it's way into the mainstream fashion trends when the American company Gant began to make them part of their standard dress shirt offering. Musicians such as Miles Davis and Mick Jagger were seen sporting a popover shirt and have since become an iconic staple of any gents wardrobe.
The Burgus Plus 18501 shirt comes in a classic, boxy, workwear fit, with the tails sitting a little longer to for the garment to be tucked in. Complete with two chest pockets, a tab collar closure and cotton gusset details. Typically inspired by the work shirts of the early part of the 20th century, Burgus Plus are able to produce a modern garment whilst always taking into consideration the history of the popover.åÊ
