Another contemporary take on a classic design from Buzz Rickson's for AW19; the N-1 Down Parka is release as part of their William Gibson collection and is based around one of Buzz's civilian 'Hooded Deck Jacket' styles.
Using the basic USN design the civilian N-1 Parka features an additional hood and D-shaped patch pockets of earlier iterations of the Deck jacket.
With the same 'Jungle' cloth outer as the Deck Jacket the William Gibson N-1 Parka replaces the Alpaca pile with down-filled pockets for insulation and warmth and is lined with silky smooth nylon. The entire jacket is of course black in keeping with the Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson Collaborations.
Established in 2004 after Gibson attributed a black MA-1 to Buzz Rickson's, worn by the main character in his novel 'Pattern Recognition. The jacket didn't exist, but such demand for the jacket spurred Buzz Rickson's to reach out and create a collection inspired by the fictional all-black MA-1.
