Buzz Rickson's Flight Jacket J-7758A BeigeBuzz Rickson's
Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are widely considered one of the few high-end reproduction brands of military garments out there.
The J-7758A's roots come from the early 1940's where the model AN-J-2/Spec. AN-6551 was first developed and used as a lightweight cotton flight jacket. This was later developed postwar and was changed to MIL-J-7758A and continued to be in use throughout the 1950's and well into the 60's.
This style of jacket was initially intended to be used for Summer or tropical use being cut from a single layer of a tight, densely woven lightweight cotton twill that had an almost poplin feel to it. The cotton weighed in at about 4.5 oz and Buzz have faithfully reproduced this in Japan to exacting standards.
The jacket has four front pockets and a small pen pocket on the sleeve with bi-swing back pleats and a half belt back that provide a superior fit.
