Over the past couple of years Fine Creek have been making a name for themselves with their unique and individual leather jackets. Here we have the Richard, a Fine Creek Leather oringinal and one of the first leather jackets the brand produced.

The Richard is cut from a 1.8mm thick, vegetable tanned, aniline dyed horse hide from the renowned Himeji Tannery in Japan. The leather is tanned using a unique recipe that Yoshikatsu Yamazaki has developed over the years spent working in the leather industry. The dying process creates a top coat that will wear over time revealing the natural brown undertones of the hide. This is often referred to as tea-core leather for the golden brown tones that appear over time.

Each jacket is stitched in their Tokyo studio with great skill, using a fine stitch-count which is extremely hard to achieve on leather manufacturing. The Richard has been produced with the same sewing techniques as seen on vintage leather jackets to enhance the puckering through the seams creating wonderful, subtle areas of character that run through each garment.

A simple and clean Cafe Racer style leather jacket, the Richard is equally at home on the bike or off. The Richard features a snug fitting Cafe Racer style collar that has a single button snap closure for a neat finish and elegant fitting. Two lower slant chest pockets with zip closure have been paired with a heavy duty straight zip.

The bottom closure features a slightly higher zip point so the jacket can relax when in a seated position when fully zipped, while the back panel has a scooped hem for additional coverage if you are on the back of the bike. Finally the jacket has been finished with bi-swing arms allowing for ease of movement.
