Following on from the ever-popular 'Age of Longing' 301XX that Jelado released for AW20, we now have their 'Anniversary Denim' S301XX, in very limited numbers.
Heavily focused on denim from a bygone era and the 'Golden Age', Jelado have painstakingly recreated a perfect homage to vintage Levi's of the 1940's & 50's. In order to re-create the fabric Jelado have dissected original 501XX dead-stock denim with a focus on cotton used, thread thickness, fibre length and weight.
The results are really quite something and the S301XX is a fitting tribute to Wartime manufacturing. From deconstructing a dead-stock pair, Jelado have been able to successfully produce a pair of jeans with the same thread thickness as seen on original denim with traditional manufacturing methods used.
The S301XX is modelled on Levi's manufactured from 1942-1945 and features details that were used during that time. To ration on fabrics off-cuts were often used and Jelado have used their 'nel' check for the pocket bags while the button front uses donut buttons and a laurel wreath top button. These come in one wash as standard have a high rise and roomy top block but taper ever-so-slightly from the knee down.
This is a limited production pair and will only be made this year by Jelado!
