One of our favourite go-to pieces from Jelado for this SS22 is the C43 Field Jacket, available in two colour-ways for the season and a great piece of Japanese repro militaria.
The C43 is based on the ever-popular U.S. Army issue M43 Jacket, issued in 1943 and originally cut from an olive drab herringbone twill (HBT).
Cut from a custom cotton ripstop fabric in Japan, the C43 is a versatile piece and a go to for the summer ahead. Naturally lightweight due to the ripstop fabric, the C43 can be used as jacket in the Spring/Summer months and a lightweight over-shirt, too.
Falling under Jelado's Combat Tog series, the jacket features all detailing found in original examples, with two large chest gusset pockets with button flap closure paired with a five button front. All buttons used are replica 13-star, while the sleeves have been cut with plenty of room providing a loose fit for the wearer.
