Jelado have built a reputation for themselves over the past number of seasons for their wool blanket production. Last season gave us the Salem patterns in a number of coats and for this SS20 Jelado continues to take inspiration from traditional Chimayo jackets and patterns.
Chimayo is a village north of Santa Fe in New Mexico. Weaving traditions in northern New Mexico date back hundreds of years with Chimayo the most well-known production area.
The Hubbell Chimayo Vest is woven Japan using the same a blend of wool, nylon and cotton as the popular Hubbell Coat from last season.
The vest is made to the pattern of native American pieces from the 1930s & 40s with a v-cut neck, leather braided button and loop closure & two front patch pockets sewn to match the woven pattern perfectly.
