Soulive Haori Ska Jacket
Soulive

Drawing from the post-war American involvement in Asia and Japanese heritage to recreate the Haori Ska Jacket, the using 'Haori' a traditional waist-length jacket similar to a kimono, and combining it with the fabric and embroidery of the servicemen souvenir or Sukajan jacket of the '40s through '60s. The Haori is designed to be worn open. The style is a historically unisex design and that rings truer today then maybe ever.
Made from plush silky smooth rayon fabric the jacket features a fantastic hand-stitched embroidery of the iconic tiger motif and 'Japan' found on many Suka jackets, and like the suka jacket is reversible, having a plane 2nd side in a beautiful deep blue colour. The handcrafting on this jacket is exquisite and simple, with the rayon fabric giving it evening dress element and style lending itself to a casual relaxed style.
A truly interesting item that taps into ageless simplicity and a modern sensibility to style and fashion.åÊ
