Chevron down Icon

The MA-1 jacket was first introduced in 1958 by the American Military and is still in use today. The MA-1 and it's predecessor, the B-15 were originally developed and needed at the time due to the emergence of the 'Jet Age', where pilots required high performance gear with safety & comfort a top priority. The MA-1 jacket is arguably the first American Military jacket that was introduced to the civilian fashion consciousness and has become an icon of classic style.

The MA-1 from Soulive is a fitting tribute to originally issued jackets with Nylon 66 (same as original) used throughout the body of the piece. The Nylon 66 has been indigo dyed so there will be a slight colour difference with each jacket due the hand dying technique used. Soulive's original bandana pattern fabric is used as a lining throughout the body and sleeves. The jacket is complete with circular knit cuffs.
