Japanese brand Soundman have created a name for themselves creating unique clothing with a classical twist. Their latest collection for SS21 is no different as the Baden jacket demonstrates.
The Baden Jacket takes its inspiration from a classic 1940’s belted Safari Jacket with styling points borrowed from the OG-107 Jungle Jacket. Roots of the Safari Jacket can be traced back to the khaki drill uniforms of the British Army, first introduced in 1900 when British Troops were stationed in South Africa during the 2nd Boer War.
Cut from a lightweight Westpoint Chino fabric in Japan, the Baden comes in a traditional Beige colour-way for SS21. The Baden features four gusseted pockets on the front with button flap closure and inspiration borrowed from the OG-107 Jungle Jacket. Box pleat construction on the back has been paired with a detachable waist belt and concealed button front as well as concealed hand warmer pockets. All buttons used are natural horn buttons and have been fully backed with leather trim. A collar tab and and a relaxed fit completes the look.
