Continuing to be inspired by vintage wears, this AW22 sees Soundman utilise exacting fabrics with inspired design.

One of our favourite items we've seen from Soundman recently is the Falcon Jacket, quite possibly due to the scarcity of the original vintage garment it takes inspiration from.

The Falcon is based on the Vietnam era US Army Hot Weather Helicopter Nomex Fire Retardant shirt Jacket, issued to US Army Personnel and worn by Helicopter Pilots. These were typically cut from a fire resistant or high temperature nylon (OG-106) and Pilots were instructed to wear the jacket with sleeves down and cuffs secured at all times.

Reimagined for the modern day, the Falcon has been cut in Japan from a cotton nylon, blended with a lightweight and strong cordura nylon for added durability. A two-way zip front using a Waldes zipper has been paired with a cigarette pocket on the left sleeve, reminiscent of vintage nylon flight jackets. Two slanted chest pockets with zip closure and pull tab complete the look while the cuffs feature a velcro closure to adjust fit.
