Kohyo

Kohyo has a history of more than 1000 years in the southern part of Gifu. It is handmade by Kaneko Otomi in the Toki city located in the southern part of Gifu. Kaneko Otomi Pottery was founded in 1921. It was widely known  for the production of Tokuuri, a utensil for drinking Sake. They currently design simple, warm tableware that is easy to use in everyday life. The beautiful " GIYAMAN ceramic " series of deep blue is derived from naming, which means "glass" in the Edo period. Stunning colours and designs.
