Sugar Cane

Founded by Toyo Enterprises in 1965, Sugar Cane was originally created to serve customers connected to U.S. military bases in Japan during the Vietnam War era. Following the war’s end in 1975, the company transitioned into a domestic clothing manufacturer, carrying forward its deep appreciation for authentic American workwear.

In order to faithfully reproduce the detailed specifications of vintage garments, Sugar Cane continues to use period-correct shuttle looms and sewing machines, prioritising craftsmanship over productivity. The result is good, old-fashioned American workwear made in Japan, produced with an unwavering respect for tradition and authenticity.
