The handmade leather goods from Tokyo based Tenjin Works are created by spending a large amount of time tanning Tochigi leather - often referred to as 'a rarity in the world'. Tochigi Leather Co use only natural vegetable tanning techniques. The factory's 160 pits are filled with high quality tannin made from Brazilian mimosa. Leather is dipped into the pits form the lowest tannin concentration to the highest, so the tannin slowly and naturally permeates over time. In addition to Tenjin Works manufacturing every piece entirely by hand, each of the jackets beautifully age over time the more they are worn or used.
