Sun Surf

Before Toyo Enterprises changed its name in 1965 it was called Kousho & Co. a company that dealt heavily in import and export, looking after the need and taking inspiration from the U.S servicemen stationed in Japan. It was also one of the original exporting companies for 'Aloha' or Hawaiian shirts to Hawaii and mainland America. These shirts produced by the company are themselves collectables within the market, branded under the name 'Fashion Mart'.

Sun Surf was founded in the 1970s, purely dedicated to producing reproductions of what is seen as the golden era of Hawaiian shirts between the 1930s to 1950s

authentically replicating designs faithfully from analysing thousands of vintage shirts to recreate the feel, colour, fabric and printing methods of these beautiful shirts many consider to be works of art.
