Mister Freedom Campus Leather Jacket Natural
Mister FreedomA staple in the MF lineup since 2013, the Campus jacket is a classic take on a garment with a 1930's silhouette. The Campus is unlined (not to save on lining fabric) and harks back to the original vintage Cossack pieces of the 30's. Not having the jacket constructed with a lining also makes the construction far more intricate, something that MF hold dear.
The Campus is cut from a lightweight vegetable tanned, full-grained milled cowhide. This has been untreated and remains in a natural condition and has been sourced from the USA. Starting life off in a white almost pinkish colour, the leather will turn a rather orange colour when worn for a few days/left outside. This is normal and part of the ageing process that will allow the wearer to own a jacket unique to them. We quote MF themselves here, "This jacket comes as somewhat of a Do-It-Yourself kit, in the sense that the jacket is a blank canvas for you to colourise." Truly unique.
The campus features a one-piece back and is fully unlined with a cotton corduroy collar and wrist cuff facing. A button facing front placket is complimented with a short 1930's silhouette and small shawl collar. The piece is finished with slash pockets, NOS side metal adjustable straps and Corozo Cat Eye buttons to complete the look.
Please note:
Mister Freedom carefully select each hide of vegetable tanned cowhide, resulting in each jacket having its own specific character, feel, natural ‘imperfections’, and from time to time, the authentic ranch “branding iron” (scar) mark.
