Lowry Family Collection (LFC) represents the lifetime dedication of Joe Dan Lowry, one of the world’s foremost authorities on turquoise. As a miner, cutter, historian, and longtime curator of the Turquoise Museum in Albuquerque, Lowry has spent decades immersed in every aspect of the gemstone - from the earth it is mined from to the skilled hands that shape it.

Each piece in the Lowry Family Collection begins with a single, meticulously selected stone. Joe Dan Lowry personally examines every turquoise specimen for its origin, colour, matrix, and natural integrity - applying knowledge gained from years of hands-on experience working in mines and collaborating with mineralogists, geologists, and artisans. Only stones that meet his exacting standards are included in this distinguished collection.
