New for this SS23 season from Mister Freedom we have the Snipes Shirt, inspired by an original issue US Army full button up shirt.
The Snipes shirt from Mister Freedom is inspired by shirts originally introduced in the early 1930's in the form of a woolen shirt issued to U.S. Army & Air Corps Personnel, normally in an olive drab or mustard colour-way. The overall design was heavily based on civilian workwear garments with intricacies of tailoring seen throughout.
Characteristics from original garments issued included a one-piece unstructured collar (no collar band), a singular style of elbow reinforcement patch, and two large utilitarian chest pockets each with pen compartments. All of the above is present in the construction of the Snipes, while the fabric is a 100% cotton herringbone twill, with contrasting white stitching throughout.
The Snipes Shirt is designed in California by Mister Freedom and manufactured in Japan by Sugar Cane & Co.
