Producing high quality garments since 1993, Pherrow's use casual, vintage American style as their inspiration and have been making quality wears in Japan for over 30 years.
The M-42 Reversible Jacket, originally used by the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment and the 10th Mountain Division in the 1940's, has been reinterpreted by Pherrow's. Crafted in Japan from a high-density cotton poplin, the fabric is firm, lustrous, and refined - impurities and short fibres have been carefully removed to create a clean, high-quality texture.
While honouring the original military design, thoughtful updates such as a shorter length and the removal of fur around the hood make it practical for everyday wear. A drawstring waist has been paired with two flap pockets w/button closure while a button front and drawstring hood complete the look.
Originally, the olive drab side was used for field operations, while the snow white side provided camouflage in snowy conditions.
