Jelado consistently impress with their selection of knitwear each Autumn/Winter season and this is no different.
Jelado have collaborated with GIM knitters to perfect their own version of the classic Cowichan Sweater. The art of Cowichan Knitting is a unique form of knitting developed by the Cowichan First Nation of southeastern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Cowichan sweaters often depict local culture, myth & legend, heritage and have an ever-lasting appeal.
Jelado's version depicts a rare version of a bison (commonly found on 1960's knits) and has been entirely knit by hand, using sheep's wool, known for its hardwearing properties with excellent water repellency & heat retention. A small shawl collar and Waldes zip front has been paired with two lower hip pockets to complete the look on this chunky knit.
