Arguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan.
Developed during the Korean War, the reversible Mitchell pattern camouflage consisted of a green leaf 'summer' design with a brown cloud 'winter' pattern on the underside. It was first used in 1953 as the camouflage for the Marine Corps Shelter. The Mitchell pattern helmet cover was introduced in 1959 and was used by Marines and Army troops throughout the Vietnam War, while the pattern was sometimes used for other items.
The McCoy's Camouflage Parka in the distinctive Mitchell Camo is fully reversible, allowing the wearer to use the Mitchell Camo side or the 'Wine leaf side'. Cut in Japan from heavy duty printed sateen, the Parka features a zip front using McCoy's custom branded Conmar zipper, with over sized deerskin leather pull tab. Two angled pockets feature on both sides while the hood features drawstring adjusters, as does the waistband.
