The Lot. 2183 N-1 Deck Jacket from Warehouse & Co is an outstanding piece of reproduction clothing, cut to the exacting standards in Japan. This N-1 from Warehouse is based on a jacket in their archive with a Grumman aircraft hand-painted on the back of the original, indicating that it was worn by the crew responsible for the carrier-based aircraft on board.
The most notable change with Lot. 2183, or Contract NXss 22036, is the addition of the hook clip front, a move away from the standard issue zip front. This model features a 5 clip front on the body and 1 on the hem, same as those also made for the USCG (United States Coast Guard). These originals were also occasionally made with a two clip hem.
Cut from a high density selvedge jungle cloth, the Lot. 2183 features a full melton wool lining in the body and the sleeves while
metal eyelets have been included in the underarm for breathability. A knitted wool collar has been paired with knitted cuffs and waistband for added durability and protection from the elements while two 'D' pockets complete the look. A U.S. Navy stamp on the rear completes the look.
