Born from a collaboration with Danner and Atshi Matsushima of Cutch x Lightning magazine, the 'Goa' boot was made to counteract the 'dressier' elasticated Chelsea style of boot on the market and create a more rugged, work aesthetically.

Built around an original wooden last from the Danner Archives dating back 40 years, the normally sculpted toe box was changed to a more voluminous, rounded shape as well as the addition of a Vibram wedge commando sole unit to 'beef-up' the style to Mr Matsushima's liking.

The upper is cut from a black rough-out bovine suede with a slightly oiled nap giving it a silvery appearance. This suede is hard-wearing and easy to care for, using either protective suede or normal boot oil.

The finishing touches are to the boot include the 'Danner' embossed outer heel, strong duo-colour side gussets with a black inner and olive khaki outer; which also match the double-sided green suede pull-on-straps with the 'Lightning' logo embroidered on both sides.

All in all a formidable pair of boots fit for town, country or hard labour.

Being constructed for Atsushi's feet first and foremost, these come in an 'E' width fitting as standard, though we find this works comfortably for most feet.
