Y'2 Leather are based in Osaka, Japan, and have been in the leather jacket making game for close to fifty years. Specialising in horse, cow & deer hides, they make some exceptional jackets, all handmade in their Osaka studio.
A new addition to the Y'2 line-up is their Steer Roughout Wool Boa Vest, inspired by vests made popular in the 1960's & 70's & made for wear on ranches that eventually transcended workwear & were made by countless American Store brands.
The leather is a 1.3mm full grain Steerhide Roughout suede, the reverse of their oiled Steerhide. The leather is water-dyed in Japan and is finished naturally using a drum dyeing process, providing an even distribution of colour, without hiding scratches or scuffs with dye.
The Boa Vest features a snap button front and two lower chest pockets, while the hem has been cut square to make easy for layering. It features a full wool boa lining & is finished with a custom woven Y'2 Westernwear label.
