Arguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan.

The U. S. Army Air Force Type B-10 Flight Jacket was developed as a replacement for both the leather A-2 and sheepskin B-6 Flight Jackets. The B-10 Flight Jacket was the first cloth-shelled, alpaca fur-lined flying jacket of the USAAF, being standardised for service in July 1943. The B-10 Flight Jackets were an instant success with just about every aviator who encountered one, being much lighter and more versatile than the jackets they replaced.

The Type B-10 jacket by Real McCoy MFG Co is a faithful reproduction of the original, crafted with a 100% cotton sateen outer shell and a 50/50 wool/alpaca lining for warmth and comfort. This particular model is made without epaulettes, reflecting wartime production variations when different factories produced subtle differences between makers.

A mouton collar, wool ribbing on cuffs & waistband, two patch pockets with flap closure, interior snap closure pocket & a 1940's bell-shaped front zipper completes the look.
