The Lot. 2003xx 3rd Type Denim Jacket from Warehouse & Co is a welcome edition to their line-up and is modelled after the Type 3 denim jacket, first introduced in 1962 and labelled 557 xx, replacing the 507 xx. This Trucker style really found its way into the mainstream and is most probably the most replicated jacket of all time ...
True to their authentic reproduction nature, Warehouse & Co have nailed this one. Cut from a 13.5 oz selvedge denim in Japan, the 2003 xx features the distinctive 'V' shaped stitching at the front, which at the time was a significant move away from the Type II Denim Jacket. Two chest pockets with button closure feature lighter weight denim behind the flaps (true to the originals) as well as copper brown buttons & yellow cotton thread used throughout. A period correct paper patch and side adjusters complete the look.
This jacket will shrink with a wash. As a rough guide this is what we expect -
Chest - 1" shrinkage
Shoulder - 1" shrinkage
Length - 2" shrinkage
Sleeve - 2" shrinkage
The shrinkage will vary depending on how it is washed/soaked so this is a rough guide. We do not recommend using a tumble dryer.
