Clutch Cafe x H.W. Dog & Co. Two-Tone Bucket Hat
Produced exclusively for Clutch Cafe, this special-edition bucket hat was created in collaboration with renowned Japanese hatmaker The H.W. Dog & Co. Inspired by and faithfully reproducing a rare 1920s vintage original, the design captures the character and charm of early American sportswear while benefiting from modern Japanese craftsmanship.
What began as an enigmatic piece of vintage Americana carried all the hallmarks of an unknown story. The faded insignia could have belonged to a high school athletic team, a local sports club, a local trades association, or any number of community institutions that once formed the fabric of American life. Its original meaning may never be known.
Though its original meaning remains unknown, the design found a new connection in the present. The “CC” lettering echoes the initials of Clutch Cafe, while the number “25” aligns with 2025 - the year this collaboration was brought to life.
Crafted from 100% cotton in Japan, the hat features a timeless two-tone combination, finished with classic wool felt lettering and multiple stitched rows around the brim for added structure and durability. The brim can also be worn flipped up at the front for a more distinctive vintage look.
Further vintage-inspired detailing includes a leather forehead lining for enhanced comfort and character, while THE HW DOG & CO.’s signature paper tag is attached to the left side of the brim as a final mark of authenticity.
This hat is available now in-store and online, offered in two sizes to accommodate a range of fits. Size 36 is intended for a head circumference of approximately 57 cm, while Size 38 is best suited to approximately 58.5 cm.
