Arguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan.
Here we have one of our favourite Jackets we've seen from McCoy's in recent years, this time issued in a black colour-way. The WEP Civilian Model Jacket is the non-combat model of the US Navy Issue Jacket, Winter Flying Suit (JWFS), while WEP comes from 'BUWEPS', or US Navy Bureau of Weapons.
An easy-to-wear Jacket, the WEP Civilian Model has been cut from 100% nylon in Kobe at the brands HQ. The nylon is specially woven for McCoy's while the body features a lightweight polyester lining, which was often found in the original civilian models. The sewing specs are the same as the late Mil-Spec model, with slits at the cuffs as well as the body cut a little longer for ease of wear.
Coming in a non issue black nylon, two patch pockets with snap closure and side entry slits have been paired with wool ribbed stand collar and cuffs while an elasticated waist aids fit. A repro Conmar zipper completes the look.
