Coherence FouFou II Coat Tweed Jersey Chevron BrownCoherence
Coherence take their inspiration from well-known and legendary artists while their take on classic outerwear is elevated by their focus on in-house fabric design, carefully considered detailing and a central focus on fit.
Here we have one of the brands signature models, the FouFou II. This Coat has two main sources of inspiration; one being a snap photo of Japanese artist Leonard Foujita at Deauville shore in 1928 and the other is a Motoring Coat of the same era that had the same design details with no belt and double breast. FouFou comes from the French for 'Mad Mad', taken from the image of Foujita during Ecole de Paris era and inspired by his unique looks and attitude.
The FouFou II is cut in Japan from their custom Chevron Tweed Jersey designed by the Coherence in house team and exclusive to the brand, coming in an intricate brown tweed colour-way. This exclusive Chevron Tweed is woven on vintage machinery in Japan and is lightweight with a natural elasticity due to the blend of wool and nylon used. An over-sized fit and silhouette provides a nod to vintage garments and gives the vintage style 'A-Line' silhouette.
Other features include raglan sleeves, an oversized collar, real horn buttons and side-entry storm pockets with internal access.
All Coherence garments are Made in Japan to the highest level of standards hard to find on ready-to-wear garments.
