Yankshire 1952 Field Shirt Vintage Sateen Olive
Yankshire

Yankshire falls under another one of Kinji Teramoto's sub brands, all housed under 35 Summers in Japan.
Originally designed as part of the US military's OG-107 uniform (OG stood for olive green) back in 1952, this Field Shirt evolved out of the 'HBT' herringbone twill, or Korean War examples made in a worsened wool. Though dense and durable, the cotton sateen used in the OG-107 was light, breathable, and comfortable.
Falling under their Yankshire Line, this 1952 Field Shirt has been cut in Japan from an original dead-stock fabric from the 1960's. This example from 35S perfectly recreates the essence of the OG-107 and will only get better with multiple wears and washes, showcasing the uniqueness of the dead-stock sateen.
It features a relatively short length, with a boxy silhouette & quite a wide fit. A button front has been paired with raglan sleeve, two chest pockets with button flap closure & one interior pocket.
