For this Winter season’s lookbook, we travelled north to Edinburgh, a beautiful city and the perfect setting to showcase our latest arrivals. We were lucky to catch it on a crisp, sunlit day, giving us the ideal backdrop to highlight our new Winter pieces amidst Edinburgh’s stunning architecture.
This season, we continue our collaboration with Rocky Mountain Featherbed, proudly introducing the fully reversible RV Down Vest, a project we’ve been refining over the past 12 months and are excited to finally share. Alongside this, we’re thrilled to present two new colour-ways in Heimat’s signature Jailhouse Stripe, built to take on the cold with ease. Heavy knits and bold patterns from Chamula feature throughout, paired with corduroy sets from Coherence, which stand out along Edinburgh’s Water of Leith walkway. Their Gabardine Fou Fou II Overcoat offers dependable protection from the elements. There's much more to explore too.
We began our morning the Scottish way: a quiet stroll along the beach, the sea breeze shaking off the last of the night and lifting the single-malt head - helped along by the perfect companion in hand: a warm Lorne slice roll.

From there, we moved through Dean Village, a peaceful retreat from central Edinburgh with its distinctive architecture and waterside paths following the Water of Leith. As Winter temperatures dip, this is where layering makes perfect sense - knitwear, canvas, gabardine, and wool, built for the ever-changing weather.

Leaving the city behind, the road opened toward Highland Perthshire, where the landscape shifts and deepens in colour, calling for warm outerwear and the promise of a cosy fire. We stopped in Dunkeld, a charming village known for its excellent bakeries and coffee shops on the banks of the River Tay. The journey continued through The Hermitage, breathing in the earthy woodland air and the sharp scent of pine needles along the River Braan, culminating in a face-to-face encounter with the thunderous Black Linn Falls, best viewed from Ossian's Hall.

We climbed into the old Land Rover Defender 90 and headed up the single track roads, following the winding tracks behind Pitlochry toward Edradour Distillery, world renowned as the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland. The route opened into rolling fields and gentle hills, a landscape made for layering - chunky knits and down built to handle changeable weather. The Landy moved (with some difficulty!) over gravel tracks and through farmland, a dependable companion for exploring the Scottish Highlands. In the distance, Ben Vrackie rose sharply against the Winter sky, a reminder of the rugged beauty surrounding us & the shift in landscape from our day spent in the City.

This Winter lookbook brings together the function, craft, and considered design that sit at the heart of everything we do. From the historic streets of Edinburgh to the quiet forests of Perthshire, each piece in our seasonal collections and buys is full of character, built for durability, and made with intention. Whether for everyday city wear or time spent in the Highlands, or wherever the season may take you, these are garments designed to work hard, layer well, and last for years to come.
